All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli (AIIMS Raebareli) has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Senior Residents on an ad-hoc basis. Eligibility Criteria for Senior Resident Posts

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates must also fulfill conditions specified under Section 13(3) of the Act wherever applicable.

  • For Broad Speciality Posts: MD / MS / DNB in the relevant speciality
  • For Super Speciality Posts: DM / M.Ch / DNB in the concerned super speciality or MD/MS/DNB in related broad speciality

Medical Registration

Applicants must be registered with the Central Medical Council or State Medical Council.

Experience

Wherever experience is prescribed, it will be counted only after acquiring the essential qualification.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for Senior Resident posts is 45 years.

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
  • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • As per Government of India norms

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Matrix Level-11, with a minimum basic pay of ₹67,700 per month, along with Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medical personnel, as applicable under 7th CPC guidelines.

No additional benefits such as pension, gratuity, provident fund, or promotion will be applicable as these are purely ad-hoc appointments.

Selection Process

Selection will be primarily based on personal interview.

If the number of applicants is high, AIIMS Raebareli may conduct a written examination consisting of MCQs in the relevant subject. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation will be followed as per Government of India rules
  • 4% horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

  • EWS certificate must be valid for the financial year 2025–26

Terms and Conditions of Appointment

The appointment will be purely temporary and ad-hoc for an initial period of six months, extendable at the discretion of the Executive Director, AIIMS Raebareli. The appointment may be terminated at any time without notice.

Selected candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment at AIIMS Raebareli. Private practice of any kind during the tenure is strictly prohibited.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining duty.
