Eligibility Criteria for Federal Bank Office Assistant
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 10th Standard or an equivalent examination as on 01 December 2025. Applicants should not have passed graduation. Candidates must also have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and should have completed at least one month of basic or foundation training in Microsoft Office. The training certificate must be produced at the time of the personal interview.
Nationality and Domicile
The candidate must be a citizen of India. The place of domicile should be in the same district as the notified branch or office or within a radius of 20 kilometres from it.
Other Requirements
Candidates should not have any criminal record. Possession of a valid driving licence issued in India is considered desirable but not mandatory.
Salary and Benefits
Pay Scale
The starting basic pay for Office Assistant is ₹19,500. With regular increments, the salary can go up to ₹37,815 along with 11 stagnation increments.
Additional Benefits
Selected candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme. Gratuity will be applicable as per existing rules. Employees will also be eligible for concessional loans, medical insurance coverage for self and dependents, and other benefits as per the bank’s policies from time to time.
Age Limit for Federal Bank Office Assistant
Age Criteria
As on 01 December 2025, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 20 years. Candidates should be born between 01 December 2005 and 01 December 2007, both dates inclusive.
Age Relaxation
Upper age relaxation of up to five years is available for candidates belonging to SC or ST categories and for candidates who are serving or have previously served in Federal Bank as temporary Office Assistant, Bankman, Driver or Caretaker and were empanelled on or before 01 December 2025.

Selection Process
Online Aptitude Test
Federal Bank will conduct a centre-based online aptitude test with the assistance of IBPS. The test will include four sections: Computer Knowledge, English, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics. Each section carries 15 questions, making a total of 60 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. There is no negative marking, and the test will be conducted in English only.
Personal Interview
Candidates shortlisted from the online aptitude test will be invited for a personal interview. Each stage of the selection process is eliminatory, and only those who qualify will move to the next stage.
General Instructions for Candidates
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of six months, which may be extended based on performance. Posting can be at any branch or office of Federal Bank depending on administrative requirements. Candidates must submit only one application, as multiple applications may lead to disqualification. A valid photo identity proof is mandatory for appearing in the examination. Appointment is subject to medical fitness and background verification. Any form of canvassing or sharing of exam-related content on social media will result in disqualification.
