Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. They must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently and must be registered in the employment exchange of Assam.
Educational Qualification:
• Constable UB: Class XII (HS) Pass
• Constable AB: Class X (HSLC) Pass
Candidates having HS pass can apply for both UB and AB by giving preference.
Experience-based benefits apply to Home Guards, SPOs, Civil Defence Volunteers and Former members of militant organizations as per official norms.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 25 years
Age Relaxation: SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years, OBC/MOBC: 3 years, Home Guards/Civil Defence: 3 years, Ex-militant/SPO: 10 years
Age proof must be Matriculation/HSLC certificate only.
Salary
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 70,000 per month
Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600
