Eligibility Criteria
Soldier (General Duty)
- 10th Pass with 45% aggregate marks and 33% in each subject.
- Boards with grading systems must have at least D grade in each subject and C2 grade overall.
Soldier (Clerk)
- 12th Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science).
- Must have 60% aggregate and 50% marks in each subject.
- English and Maths/Accounts/Bookkeeping must have 50% marks in Class 12th.
Soldier Tradesmen (except House Keeper & Mess Keeper)
- 10th Pass.
- No aggregate percentage required, but minimum 33% in each subject.
Soldier Tradesmen (House Keeper & Mess Keeper)
- 8th Pass.
- No aggregate percentage required, but minimum 33% in each subject.
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates
- Height: Minimum 160 cm
- Relaxation: 157 cm for candidates from the Eastern Himalayan Region and Hill Areas (e.g., Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Garhwal, etc.)
- Chest: 77 cm (unexpanded), 82 cm (expanded)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army standards
For Female Candidates
- Height: Minimum 157 cm
- Relaxation: 152 cm for candidates from the Eastern Himalayan Region
- Chest: Expansion of 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age

Documents Required
Candidates must bring original documents along with two attested photocopies of each:
Birth Certificate
- Issued by Registrar of Births and Deaths, or
- 10th Class Certificate showing Date of Birth
Education Certificates
- Mark sheets and certificates for all qualifications
- Provisional certificates must be ink-signed by the head of the institution
- 8th Pass candidates must have certificates countersigned by the District Education Officer (DEO)
Domicile Certificate
- Issued by Tehsildar or District Magistrate with candidate’s photo
Caste / Community Certificate
- Issued by SDM, Tehsildar, or DM with photograph
Religion Certificate
- Required only if religion not mentioned in caste certificate
Character Certificate
- Issued within last six months by Village Sarpanch, SHO, or Head of Institution
Marital Status Certificate
- For married/unmarried candidates, issued within six months
Relationship Certificate
- For candidates who are children of servicemen/ex-servicemen/war widows, issued by the respective Record Office
