A total of 49 vacancies are available for Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ and ‘SC’ posts across disciplines such as Electronics, Computer Science, Power Electronics, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, Oceanography, Atmospheric Science, Statistics, Optics, and related fields.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a B.Sc., B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.E., M.Tech., or Ph.D., depending on the post. A minimum percentage or CGPA is required as per ISRO norms. Degrees obtained through distance or open learning are not eligible.
Age Limit
Scientist/Engineer SD posts: 18 to 35 years
Scientist/Engineer SC (Engineering): 18 to 30 years
Scientist/Engineer SC (M.Sc based): 18 to 28 years
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
Salary Details
Pay Scale
Scientist/Engineer SC: ₹56,100 to ₹177,500 (Level 10)
Scientist/Engineer SD: ₹67,100 to ₹208,700 (Level 11)
Other benefits include DA, HRA, transport allowance, medical facilities, LTC, and pension benefits.

Fee Structure
No fee for scientist/engineer SD posts. For other posts, the application fee is ₹750. Women, SC/ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates are eligible for a full or partial refund after appearing in the written test.

Scientist/Engineer SD posts are selected through interview only. Scientist/Engineer SC posts involve a written test followed by an interview. Final selection is based on combined performance as per ISRO rules.
