Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a valid GATE score in 2023, 2024, or 2025 in:

  • Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (CS)

And must hold one of the following qualifications:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Communication, Electrical & Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or related fields
  • M.Sc in Electronics, Computer Science, or Physics with Electronics
  • Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA)

All degrees must be from a government-recognized university or institute.


Age Limit

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 27 years

Age relaxation applies as per government rules.


Salary

  • Pay Level: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
  • Allowances:
    • Special Security Allowance @20% of basic pay
    • Central Government allowances
    • Cash compensation for holiday duty (up to 30 days)

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on GATE score (2023/2024/2025)
  2. Skill Test: Practical and technical evaluation
  3. Interview: To assess subject knowledge and communication skills

Final merit will be based on combined marks:

  • GATE Score: 750 marks
  • Skill Test: 250 marks
  • Interview: 175 marks
    Total: 1175 marks

A waiting list will be maintained as per DoPT guidelines.
