Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for ITI Trades
Candidates must have passed 10th class or equivalent and completed regular full-time ITI training of 1 or 2 years (as applicable to the trade) from NCVT or SCVT. The ITI pass year must be 2023, 2024, or 2025, and candidates must possess the pass certificate at the time of application. Appearing candidates, result-awaited candidates, or those with back papers are not eligible.
Educational Qualification for Vocational Trades
Applicants should have passed Intermediate (10+2) in Vocational Trade subjects during 2023, 2024, or 2025 from a recognised board.
Additional Eligibility Conditions
Candidates who are currently undergoing or have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act are not eligible. Students of COE (Centre of Excellence) courses are also not eligible. Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms, with 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, which will be paid during the entire training period.
Selection Process
Merit-Based Selection
Selection will be purely based on merit. The merit list will be prepared by giving 70% weightage to marks obtained in High School and 30% weightage to marks obtained in ITI or Vocational subjects, as applicable.
CGPA Conversion Rule
If marks are awarded in CGPA, the equivalent percentage (up to two decimal places) as per the official conversion formula of the respective board or council will be considered. Approximation of marks is not allowed.
General Instructions
Reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD and HAL employee wards will be applicable as per Government of India and HAL guidelines. EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01 April 2025, and OBC (NCL) certificates must be issued on or after 01 April 2023. Dependents of HAL employees (working, retired, or deceased) must route their application through the HAL HR Department.
For ITI trades, candidates must be registered on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and possess a valid registration number. For Vocational trades, registration with RDSDE, Kanpur is mandatory. The duration of apprenticeship training will be one year. Applications are accepted only through Normal Post, Speed Post, or Courier. No TA or DA will be paid for any stage of selection. HAL reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage, and its decision will be final.

Candidates must download the prescribed application form from the HAL website. Form-A is applicable for ITI Trades, and Form-B is applicable for Vocational Trades. Candidates should fill only one form as per their eligibility. The completed application form must be sent along with self-attested copies of all required documents, including educational certificates, apprenticeship registration proof, Aadhaar, PAN, domicile certificate, and category certificates if applicable.
