Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

  • General Category (Male): 18 to 37 years
  • General Category (Female): 18 to 40 years
  • BC / EBC / Transgender: 18 to 40 years
  • SC / ST: 18 to 42 years
  • Bihar Government Employees: Maximum age relaxation of 5 years for those with at least 3 years of regular service

The fee must be paid online using Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card. The amount paid is non-refundable. After successful payment, candidates will receive a confirmation SMS with the Registration ID.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Examination

  • The written test will be of Matric (10th) level
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 hours

    • Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology)

Each correct answer carries 1 mark. Candidates scoring less than 30% marks will be disqualified and will not be called for the physical efficiency test. The written exam is qualifying in nature and will not be used for final merit ranking.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will appear for the physical efficiency test, which carries 100 marks.

Running

  • Male Candidates: 1.6 km in 6 minutes
  • Female Candidates: 1 km in 5 minutes

Shot Put

  • Male: 16-pound shot, minimum 16 feet
  • Female: 12-pound shot, minimum 12 feet

High Jump

  • Male: Minimum 4 feet
  • Female: Minimum 3 feet

Candidates must qualify separately in all events. Failure in any one event will result in disqualification. Up to three attempts are allowed for shot put and high jump.
