Eligibility Criteria for IIT Kanpur Senior Project Engineer 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet any one of the following qualification and experience criteria:
- M.E / M.Tech in Power Systems, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy Technologies, or related disciplines with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, or
- B.Tech in Power System / Electrical Engineering or related fields along with MBA in Power Management / Energy Management / Power Systems and 3 years of relevant experience, or
- B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics or related fields with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Desirable Skills
- Good knowledge of power markets and regulatory frameworks such as Grid Code, DSM, and Ancillary Services
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Experience in research, modelling, and technical reporting

Salary Details
Senior Project Engineer Salary:
Rs. 38,800 – 3,200 – 96,400 per month (Consolidated)
Higher starting salary may be offered to candidates with exceptional qualifications or experience, as per IIT Kanpur norms.
