Eligibility Criteria
For Inspector of Factories and Boilers
A degree in Mechanical, Production, Power Plant or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognised university
A minimum of two years of technical experience in fields related to boilers or the implementation of the Boilers Act, 1923
For Inspector of Factories Chemical
B.E in Chemical Engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification
General Requirements for Both Posts
Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari script
Knowledge of Rajasthan’s culture
All qualifications and experience must be obtained by the last date of application submission
Age Limit as on 1 January 2027
- Minimum Age: 23 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per state government rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, women and ex-servicemen of Rajasthan.
- Widow and divorcee women applicants have no upper age limit.

Salary
The post carries Pay Matrix Level L-14.
During the probation period, fixed monthly remuneration will be provided as per state norms.
Selection Process
- Written examination conducted by RPSC
- Objective type question paper in offline or online mode
- 150 questions for 150 marks
- Exam duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
- One-third negative marking for each wrong answer
- The Commission may use scaling, moderation or normalization if required

- One Time Registration is mandatory before applying.
- Candidates must verify personal details carefully during OTR, as corrections will not be allowed later.
- A live photograph, signature and left thumb impression must be uploaded during the application process.
