Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a valid GATE score in 2023, 2024, or 2025 in:
- Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (CS)
And must hold one of the following qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech in Electronics, Communication, Electrical & Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or related fields
- M.Sc in Electronics, Computer Science, or Physics with Electronics
- Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA)
All degrees must be from a government-recognized university or institute.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 27 years
Age relaxation applies as per government rules.
Salary
- Pay Level: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Allowances:
- Special Security Allowance @20% of basic pay
- Central Government allowances
- Cash compensation for holiday duty (up to 30 days)

Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on GATE score (2023/2024/2025)
- Skill Test: Practical and technical evaluation
- Interview: To assess subject knowledge and communication skills
Final merit will be based on combined marks:
- GATE Score: 750 marks
- Skill Test: 250 marks
- Interview: 175 marks
Total: 1175 marks
A waiting list will be maintained as per DoPT guidelines.
